The ILA podcast I recorded with Dr Scott Allen is now live at https://open.spotify.com/episode/0hCWdZaDMEwOsG0nRrC8pr?si=fe4216afa2494bba
We discussed climate change leadership in general and the way in which conventional leadership is being repurposed for the age of sustainability. We also discussed Rae André, Ph.D.’s work on the criticality of a scientific understanding in corporate climate change governance. This included a discussion on why corporations are largely focused on SDG 13 (Climate Action) when there are 16 other SDG’s to consider especially biodiversity (SDG 15) as well as the impact on tipping points on scenario modelling. We concluded with a conversation on reasons for the slow pace of mitigation and how some of the tensions and polarities in the climate change movement may be inhibiting action at the pace and scale that’s required.
